About Other Side
Six years ago I had a friend take their own life. This was my first experience with death and it took a huge toll on me and my mental health. I was going through so many emotions at the time. Grief, anger, and depression. I was at my lowest. I wrote this song when I found out about his passing and to this day it is the hardest song for me to perform.

About Rabbit Hole
Rabbit Hole was written about three years ago when I was I was going through a lot mentally and physically. I didn’t love myself and I felt like I didn’t know who I was. This song has slowly developed into what it is today. A special thanks to Britton Cameron for helping me bring my song to life. It’s crazy how small changes can really do a lot for a song. Originally this song was not so upbeat sounding but just a simple cadence change of the verses and slightly changing the chorus made this song such so much cooler and better. He has helped me soooo much to develop as a songwriter. This was the first song we worked on in the studio in Nashville. It was definitely my favorite to do because of all the harmonies and background vocals. Britton did an incredible job on producing this single. If there’s anyone that has struggled with self esteem, loving yourself, your identity, anything of the sort I hope these words can resonate with you.
I do want to say that I do love myself now. I have had so much growth over the past three years and this song has definitely helped me a long my journey.

About Not Worth My Time
Feeling betrayed by people Scarlet was close to, her friends, she was left hurt and constantly questioning herself. Consumed with guilt due to lack of closure, Scarlet grabbed her pen and pencil and started to write. This song became her closure and helped her realize that they weren’t worth her time to be so affected by what happened. No matter how much she cared for them she knew they never had her back so there was no point in being stuck in the past.

About paradise
When you finally move on from someone that held you back from true happiness is what inspired Paradise. The feeling of relief, joy, and getting to feel like yourself again after a long time. It’s the best feeling ever. Paradise is supposed to lift you up and make you happy. It’s supposed to be the “pat on the back” and the “applause” that you deserve.
